CB Fridges is dedicated to fighting hunger and food insecurity through offering food at accessible public fridges. Our mission is to connect neighbors in need with surplus food while fostering a community built on dignity.

A Community Fridge is a public refrigerator and pantry space established to provide free, accessible food to anyone in the neighborhood. It operates on the simple, neighborly principle of “Take what you need, leave what you can.” By creating a shared resource that is open to everyone 24/7/365, we reduce food waste, support neighbors experiencing food insecurity, and strengthen community bonds—all without barriers, registration, or stigma.

The CB Fridges project launched with the fridge at Timothy Lutheran Church (3112 West Broadway) with additional fridges coming this fall at Lakin Human Services Campus, All Care Health Center and Broadway United Methodist Church.
